Survey results

Thanks so much for your engagement with our recent survey. We really appreciate your time and consideration. Here are some of them with our response: 

  • Southside presence & mobile tool library: plans for the Tool Bus are progressing. 

  • Items not available when they're wanted: we often source duplicate items when they are consistently out. If you can't reserve an item when you want it and abandon the plan, let us know so that we can assess the need for more. 

  • Longer rental periods: you can extend loans twice without contacting the Toolbox (as long as they have not been reserved by other members or fallen due for routine maintenance). If you know in advance that you'll need something for a longer period, let us know. 

  • Increased open hours: ah, this old chestnut. More hours requires more volunteers. We're expecting our Tool Bus to attract more volunteers across the region. In the meantime, if you've got a lazy 3 hours a month, we'd love to have you.

  • Growing the collection: the available stock is growing all the time, although we are being increasingly discerning about donations. Some of the items specifically requested are already in stock. You can see the whole catalogue here.

  • Increased promotion: this is a constant focus and you can help. If you tell your friends about the Toolbox and they join, you'll both get a bonus month on a new or existing membership.
