Would you like access to hundreds of tools a year for less than the cost of the average trip to the hardware shop?
Membership to the Community Toolbox Canberra in Watson, ACT, is open to those aged 18+ in the Canberra region.
For a small annual fee, members can borrow all sorts of tools and equipment for DIY, gardening, hobbies and leisure. You borrow the item, use it to complete your task, then return it. No need to buy it. No need to maintain it. No need to store it.

How much is a Toolbox membership?
Membership is a yearly subscription for you and one other person in your household. It also includes membership of SEE-Change (more details further below).
We have several suggested ‘tiers’ of membership, which all have equal borrowing rights.
Membership tiers (please choose the subscription amount that best matches your circumstances):
$154 Membership plus a contribution toward keeping the Toolbox accessible
$99 For waged members
$59 For students, seniors and those with a health care card (no evidence required)
$22 For those without the means to choose any of the above. This level covers our administration costs. Please select a higher level if you have the means to do so. Please contact us if you have difficultly paying this amount.

Message from SEE Change
Welcome to the Community Toolbox Canberra, and to SEE Change!
SEE Change is delighted to be supporting the Toolbox as one of our volunteer groups.
SEE Change is a grass-roots non-profit organisation founded in 2008 and we focus on empowering our community members to take collective action for a more sustainable Society, Environment and Economy. SEE Change supports around 15 volunteer groups across the ACT and region. Some of our projects include a community solar farm, repair cafés, biodiversity education, revegetation of urban parkland and soil regeneration, community education on reducing waste, an electric bike library and e-bike bulk buys, sustainable house tours and more.
We are a registered environmental charity and receive funding from the ACT government, various grants and donations, and of course our membership fees. Your Toolbox membership automatically includes membership of SEE Change. As a SEE Change member, you will receive our fortnightly newsletter, access to discounts through our bulk buys, and join a community of like-minded people working for a better future. We won’t share your personal details with anyone else unless you tell us it’s okay.
